One Dalmatian Under God

Very funny Cassie Eckert moment from the weekend. While we were dining at Applebee's, Cassie and I were talking about flags and the Pledge of Allegiance. She offered to recite the Pledge for us, as she does each morning at school. Her recital was perfect, with one humorous exception:

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America
And to the republic for which it stands
One Dalmatian, Under God . . .

Hilarious! Almost as good as Tommy insisting (to this day) that February 2 is Grounddog (as opposed to Groundhog) Day.
